Developmental Optometrist
Dr. Monika Spokas is the Founder and Clinical Director of Clarendon Vision Development Center (CVDC). For the last 20 years, Dr. Spokas and CVDC have changed the lives of thousands of children and adults through the latest in Vision Therapy, Myopia Management, Neuro Optomtery, Pediatric Optometry and Primary Eyecare.
Originally from Lithuania, Dr. Spokas came to the United States in 1992 and graduated from Maria High School. She continued her studies at Loyola University in Chicago where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biological Sciences.
Dr. Spokas earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree as a Cum Laude graduate of the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry. During her time there, she fell in love with pediatrics and vision therapy, solidifying that this area of study, combined with her passion, was how she wanted to make a positive impact on the trajectory of others’ lives. As a life-long learner, she completed extensive post-graduate studies
in vision development and vision therapy. Today, Dr. Spokas continues to propel herself and her team to stay at the forefront of advancements in ocular health and visual performance by introducing new technology and treatment options to best serve our patients. Her academic and clinical excellence has been recognized through a number of awards and accolades.
Dr. Spokas is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and the College of Syntonic Optometry. She lives in Burr Ridge with her husband, three daughters and French bulldog, Luna. Her outside interests include traveling, tennis, scuba diving and skiing.

Developmental/Pediatric/Neuro-Optometrist
Dr. Amber Cumings specializes in Neuro-Optometric and Pediatric Care at Clarendon Vision Development Center, treating patients of all ages. Dr. Cumings is highly regarded by our patients who have complex visual needs, regularly noting that Dr. Cumings identified the right diagnosis and treatment that has provided the, often long-awaited, relief they needed.
Dr. Cumings was born in Michigan and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ferris State University with a degree in Vision Science. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry degree with Highest Distinction at Michigan College of Optometry. During her time there, Dr. Cumings was the leader of several councils and a member of academic professional organizations. She completed a residency specializing in Pediatrics/Vision Therapy/ Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation with national thought leader Dr. Curtis Baxstrom.
She has recently obtained her Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry, a prestigious honor in the field. Today, she is working toward becoming a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development which certifies optometrists
as having advanced competency in providing developmental vision and vision therapy services. You may also see her research articles published across pediatric and optometric medical journals.
Dr. Cumings is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and the College of Syntonic Optometry.
She lives in the western suburbs with her fiancé and enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading, and drawing.

Contact Dr. Malone
Developmental/Neuro-Optometrist
Dr. Delia Marie Malone is a Developmental Optometrist who also specializes in Neuro-Optometry at Clarendon Vision Development Center
She received a Bachelors of Arts from Loyola University in Chicago Illinois. While in school, she served as a volunteer at Alivio Clinic to provide much needed care for underserved Spanish speaking populations. In 2018, she received her Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry after externships in Vision Therapy, Vision Rehabilitation and Low Vision. During her studies at Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Malone had the opportunity to provide eye care to underserved populations through a mission trip to El Salvador.
Dr. Malone has completed clinical rotations at the New Haven VA Hospital, the Illinois Eye Institute and in binocular vision while at a private practice clinic.
Her extensive training and experience span visual rehabilitation, vision therapy, pediatric examination, and ocular disease. When examining her primary eyecare patients, she enjoys uncovering and treating binocular difficulties often overlooked by other primary care providers.
She is an active member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In her free time, she can be found biking in the streets of Chicago or on her Peloton, at community fairs or listening to live music.
